Immediate past Plateau State Governor and incumbent Minister for Labour and Employment,Simon Lalong has been congratulated over his victory at the Appeal Court affirming him as duly elected Senator for the Plateau Southern Senatorial District.
A statement issued to newsmen in Abuja by the First Deputy National Chairman of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers of Nigeria (NUPENG),Dayyabu Yusuf Garga described the decision of the appellate court as a testament of the rule of law which all Nigerians should applaud.
According to the statement which also congratulated other members of the APC John Dafaan of the House of Representatives for Mikang,Shendam,Quanpan,Vincent Venman Bulus for Langtang North and South,Ahmed Idris Maje of Wase Federal Constituency as well as Distinguished Senator Diket Plang of the Plateau Central Zone who was affirmed by the election petitions tribunal described their victories as a triumph for the people.
The statement while charging them to justify this mandate given to them by the people encouraged them to see the entire process as an act of God clearly designed to have them impact on the lives of the citizenry they are representing.
While calling for synergy amongst them Dayyabu Garga identified critical infrastructure and social amenities plus security as some of the areas they must focus on so as to deliver the benefits of democracy to the people.
"As a grassroots politician and a union leader at one of the highest levels I know a lot of the challenges of the people as such I charge you go all out to match words with action and leave no stone unturned to ensure our people get what they rightfully deserved.
Having worked with all of you and different points in time,I am of the firm believe that you will not disappoint the people who's mandate you hold firth at the national assembly."
The Union Leader and party stalwart said he is optimistic of a resounding victory for other members of the APC in Plateau State in the judgments coming up for other seats including those of the state assembly in no distant time.
He then expressed his optimism that sooner that later the state will return to the APC with Nentawe Yilwatda at the helm of affairs God willing.
Dayyabu Garga commended the people for the show of maturity all through the period charging them to sustain it as plateau state is bigger than an individual.
