HON. CHIEF EPHRAIM USMAN CONFIRMED AS BARADEN HALLE

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Plateau State, Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman Gar, has been officially conferred with the chieftaincy title Baraden Halle by the District Head of Halle in Mangu Local Government Area.

The honour was bestowed on him in recognition of his trustworthiness, selfless service, and outstanding contributions to humanity. Community leaders and traditional authorities described the title as well-deserved, reflecting his commitment to peace, development, and unity.

The conferment took place during the dedication ceremony marking the reopening of COCIN LCC Jwak Maitumbi Church, which had been closed for a long period due to the crisis that affected the community. Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman Gar played a key role in supporting efforts to restore the church auditorium, helping to bring it back to life for worship and fellowship.

The event attracted a large crowd, with community members expressing joy, gratitude, and admiration for the Honourable Commissioner. The people openly demonstrated their appreciation and pledged their continued support for him in his political journey.

As part of his scheduled engagements, Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman Gar also attended the end-of-year party organized by Ampang West at Plateau State Polytechnic, where he donated the sum of ₦500,000 to support the group’s activities.

He concluded his engagements for the day at the National Library in Jos, where he attended a send-forth service.

BLDR. RAPHAEL RUME: A PROVEN PERFORMER POISED TO DELIVER FOR PANKSHIN NORTH

Bldr. Raphael Rume, the out-going National President of the Bukuru Old Students Association Technical (BOSAT), was honoured with an Award of Excellence at the 2025 BOSAT Annual General Meeting held on 12th December 2025, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, vision, and exceptional performance in office.

During his four-year tenure, Bldr. Rume effectively mobilized and lobbied members, inspiring collective commitment that translated into over thirty impactful achievements without receiving any form of subvention—a rare and commendable feat. His achievements reflect innovation, accountability, and a strong results-oriented leadership style. Notable among them are the donation of a fully equipped computer laboratory, remodeling of the school gate, provision of 70 three-in-one classroom desks, rehabilitation of internal school roads, installation of solar-powered streetlights, creation of the BOSAT website and anthem, as well as the renovation of the school library with computers and e-books.

If Bildr. Rume could achieve these milestones without statutory support as BOSAT President, the opportunities for greater impact are far higher when he is entrusted with public office backed by statutory subvention. His record clearly demonstrates prudent management of resources, commitment to service, and the capacity to turn vision into measurable results.

The people of Pankshin North deserve a representative with a tested track record, integrity, and unwavering dedication to community development. Electing Bldr. Raphael Rume into the Plateau State House of Assembly is a strategic decision to secure responsive representation, effective legislation, and a stronger voice for Pankshin North.
