It is with profound sadness that I extend my heartfelt condolences to the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari. President Buhari was a dedicated statesman who served Nigeria with a strong sense of duty. His years of service, in both military and civilian leadership, were marked by a commitment to national development and the preservation of Nigeria's unity. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life devoted to serving the nation. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations. I pray that the Almighty grants his soul eternal rest and gives his family, loved ones, and all Nigerians the strength to bear this great loss. May his memory be a blessing to our nation.

SEN. DARIYE EULOGIZES FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI AS A PATRIOT AND NATIONALIST

Former Plateau State Governor, Senator Dr. Joshua Chibi Dariye, has described the demise of former president Muhammadu Buhari as a monumental loss, not only to his immediate family, Daura, Katsina state, but to Nigeria and the African continent at large.

Senator Dariye stated this while reacting to the news of the passing of the former president who died in a London Hospital on Sunday.

The former governor, who commended Buhari for being a disciplinarian, patriot, astute administrator and a fine military officer, noted that his demise would be felt for generations to come.

While paying glowing tributes to the late President, Senator Dariye commended his unwavering commitment to the corporate existence of Nigeria which he always defended with high sense of responsibility.

" President Muhammadu Buhari is an elder statesman, whose life exemplifies discipline, honesty, service, commitment which he exhibited as a soldier and administrator while serving as Military Head of State and democratically elected president".

" He is a staunch advocate of a corrupt free-society which he championed throughout his years of service to the nation. Buhari’s legacy of honesty in service, which discourages the primitive accumulation of wealth, will continue to be a reference point in the annals of Nigeria's history".

Senator Dariye praised the former president for his strong-willed posture characterized by resilience and deep belief in the ideals of service to the nation. This propelled him to contest for the highest office in the land on three occasions, despite  deliberate efforts to undermine his commitment.

The former governor stated that President Buhari's reforms in the public service aimed at ensuring discipline, efficiency and due process as the hallmarks of service, would  be remembered for ages.

The former Governor equally used the opportunity to commiserate with his immediate family, the Daura Emirate Council as well as the people and government of Katsina State over the great loss praying God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

On behalf of his family, friends and political associates, Senator Dariye prayed God to forgive him his shortcomings and grant him Aljanna Firdaus.

SEN DARIYE COMMISERATES WITH SEN. I.D GYANG OVER DEMISE OF MOTHER.

Former Plateau State Governor, Senator Dr Joshua Chibi Dariye, has decried the attitude of bring-him-down syndrome among Plateau citizens, emphasizing that the trend was a hindrance to the unity and progress of the State.

Senator Dariye stated this when he led his wife, Valentina and members of his Choice Political Movement on a condolence visit to the Rayfield, Jos residence of Senator Istifanus Dung Gyang who lost his mother recently.

He observed that the attitude of some citizens of the state, who had made it a habit of maligning each other, was retarding the progress of sons and daughters of the state and appealed for an urgent step to halt the unacceptable practice.

" We have a problem here in Plateau State.  In other climes, when you are progressing, they will bring a ladder to aid you in climbing to the top. But our situation here  is not like that. Instead of helping you climb up, we bring 20 ladders to bring you down",  Senator Dariye lamented.

He challenged Plateau citizens to unite and close ranks by supporting each other to achieve common goals which would lead to the unity, peaceful coexistence and development  of the state.

Condoling Senator I.D Gyang and his siblings over the demise of their mother, the former Governor urged them to take solace in God over the collosal loss in view of the positive impact Mama had on them and all those that encountered her.

Senator Dariye eulogized Mama Gweh Lyop Dung Gyang for being a hardworking woman who defied all odds to raise her children in the fear of God and imparting  sound morals in them, noting that she would  always be remembered for her enduring legacies.

He urged Senator I.D Gyang not to relent in  upholding the good virtues of his late mother which were embedded in hardwork, discipline, perseverance, dedication and the fear of God which enabled him to continue to be a shining star in Berom land.

Responding on behalf of the family, Senator Istifanus Gyang expressed deep appreciation to the Former Governor and his entourage for the visit, noting that the gesture had further strengthened the family.

He paid glowing tributes to his late mother for her consistency, resilience, patience and trust in God, noting that she ensured that she instilled these virtues  in him and his siblings while raising them. He said Ngo Gweh Lyop Dung Gyang took up the responsibility of raising her family after the demise of their father in 1976.

Senator I.D Gyang noted that his mother was not deterred by her poor family background, as she defied all odds to singlehandedly  fend for the family during a difficult period of widowhood and sued for prayers for divine  comfort for the family.

Late Mama Gweh Lyop Dung Gyang passed away peacefully at the ripe age of 95.
