Hon. Amb. Daniel Asama Ago is championing vocational and technological advancement for the Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency.
As part of his commitment to transforming Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency into a Hub of Productivity and Innovation, Hon. AMB. Daniel Asama Ago (The Anki Kaboh) is taking decisive steps to empower the youth through Trade, Business, Vocational, and Technological Innovations. His vision is to transition the constituency from a dependency-driven economy to a self-sustaining, production-based society capable of harnessing its abundant Natural Resources for Sustainable Development.

Read: In line with this vision, Hon. Asama has introduced an Establishment Bill at the National Assembly seeking the creation of the Vocational and Entrepreneurship Institute, Jos. This institute will serve as a pivotal Center for Training, Harnessing, and Networking the Skills of the Youth, equipping them with the necessary expertise to thrive in the evolving global economy.
Beyond Legislative action, Hon. Asama is actively engaging the Government and key Stakeholders to secure meaningful Partnerships with Industry Leaders and Foreign investors. His efforts are particularly focused on attracting Expatriate Investors with the capacity to create significant opportunities in the Creative, Technological, and Production Sectors for his people.
Demonstrating this commitment, His Excellency, the Taiwan Ambassador to Nigeria, Andy Yih-Ping Liu, recently paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Asama’s office at the National Assembly. During this high-level engagement, discussions were held regarding a potential Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in Technological Innovation and Trade. The deliberations also explored opportunities for Constituents to travel and engage in Vocational and Business Collaborations with Taiwan, opening doors for knowledge exchange, investment, and economic growth.
Hon. Asama firmly believes that these strategic initiatives will not only empower the youth but also position Bassa/Jos North as a key player in Nigeria’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship landscape. He remains dedicated to working tirelessly to ensure that his people benefit from these global opportunities.

Asama's vision is centered on effective representation, which involves being a strong voice for his constituents and working tirelessly to address their needs. In his first year, after overcoming legal challenges at the tribunal Asama aims to make a meaningful impact by amplifying the voices of his constituents, ensuring that their concerns and needs are heard and addressed at the national level, driving development and growth, working to attract investments, projects, and initiatives that promote economic growth and development in his constituency, fostering collaboration and unity, building bridges across party lines and working with stakeholders to promote the interests of his constituents and the nation at large.
Hon. AMB. Daniel Asama Ago, Member of the House of Representatives representing the Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, has marked his first year in office with a strong record of service and advocacy. He has proven to be a dedicated voice for his constituents, actively engaging in key legislative processes and bringing critical issues to the forefront.
Hon Asama has introduced nine bills aimed at addressing pressing national and constituency concerns. These bills reflect his commitment to tackling key issues affecting the lives of his people. He has also actively participated in fourteen National Assembly Committees, ensuring that the voice of his constituents is heard on a wide range of issues.
Beyond legislation, Hon. Asama has been a vocal advocate for his community. He has raised three major matters of public importance: community policing, incessant fire outbreaks at Katako Market of Jos North, and the school building collapse in Jos North. By highlighting these issues, he has brought much-needed attention to critical concerns affecting the well-being of his constituents.
The following are Hon Asama 14 notable activities which are aimed at empowering as well as alleviating the hardship face by his constituency include: Distribution of food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to alleviate the hardship faced by our vulnerable citizens, Seed funding for 200 market women, empowering small businesses and improving economic sustainability, provision of fertilizers to farmers, boosting agricultural productivity and food security, donation of sewing machines and grinding machines to constituents, enhancing skill acquisition and self-reliance, distribution of reading tables, writing materials, school bags, and sandals to vulnerable pupils, promoting education at the grassroots level, payment of WAEC & NECO fees for 600 students, reducing the financial burden on parents and ensuring brighter futures for our young minds, providing international exposure for 40 football talents, opening doors of opportunity for our youth in global sports, strengthening community security by networking the Community Police, Hunters, and Vigilante Groups, thereby improving safety across our communities, construction of classroom blocks in Rukuba, fostering better learning environments for students, facilitating employment opportunities for youths into the Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Police Force, and Nigerian Army, creating employment networking channels for youths into the Nigerian Civil Defense Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Correctional Service.
The unrelenting Hon Daniel Asama Ago is gearing up for another impactful year, with a focus on rolling out projects and interventions that will benefit the people of Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency with a focus on Job Creation: generating employment opportunities to reduce unemployment rates and stimulate economic growth. Empowerment: providing resources and support to enable individuals and communities to thrive. Education: improving access to quality education and investing in initiatives that promote learning and development, Security, Health, and Infrastructure development across our Constituency.
