The Governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, at the 2023 general elections, who also is the Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, IHVN, Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum, has congratulated Hon. Dalyop Fom and Hon. Ajang Alfred of his party as members representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom, Jos South/Jos East federal Constituencies over their victory at the Court of Appeal today in Abuja.
Dakum who is elated at their victory, commended them for exercising sagacity and resilience in the pursuit of their mandate at the tribunal and Appellate Court, and for their tireless efforts ab initio during the electioneering campaign which today have paid off.
He admonished them to utilize their God's given opportunity to serve their constituents with determination, verity and benevolently without discrimination or recourse to religion, tribe and political party.
Furthermore, he called on them to be magnanimous to the losers and their supporters and to shun high-mindedness; and to also appreciate their supporters who contributed immensely to their success, saying politics is over and is time for leadership which requires bringing all sides together and working towards bettering the lives of the citizens.
According to him, the essence of leadership is the welfare of the people which in their case hinges on legislation on matters that will better the lives of their constituents and the entire country, constituency projects, oversight functions and other support.
Dakum wishes them God's divine wisdom, knowledge, understanding and strength to achieve their national assignment successfully and to put smiles in the faces of their constituents.
