Dakum Family to Launch Foundation in Son's Memory

The Dakum family is set to launch a foundation in memory of their son and sibling, Daniel Dakum, ahead of the official flag-off of the Patrick Sunday Dakum Foundation. The Patrick Sunday Dakum Foundation, led by Professor Patrick Sunday Dakum, CEO of the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) and Plateau State Labour Party governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, has been certified by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

This news highlights the family's commitment to honoring Daniel's memory while simultaneously launching the Patrick Sunday Dakum Foundation.

With the certification of Patrick Sunday Dakum Foundation by the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, giving it a nod to flag-off, Professor Patrick Sunday Dakum, the Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Human Virology Nigeria, IHVN, and Plateau State Labour Party, governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections decided alongside his family to first flag-off his late first son’s foundation, Daniel Dakum Foundation, before his own.

Dakum made the exposé following the profuse  anticipation by the general public following the announcement of launching his foundation after his clearance with the CAC.

He said Daniel Dakum Foundation will be launched in April 2025 in memory of his son and keeping the dream he had of service to humanity.

According to Shabul Mazadu Media Consultant to Professor Patrick Sunday, some of the aims and objectives of the Daniel Dakum Foundation will hinge predominantly on sports particularly Football where local players will be groomed to reach international stardom and secure good teams; provision of scholarships to students, entrepreneurial development, skills acquisition, health and so many aspects with multi-dimensional impact on humanity.

Dakum said after the launch of his son's foundation, he will flag-off of his own without delay.

He encouraged parents to spur their offspring into initiating agenda for humanity, and in the case of death, they should work hard to carry out their dreams; adding that they should not allow the dream of their children go down the drain.

283 Newly Trained Police Constables Deployed Across 17 LGAs in Plateau State.

Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina has urged the newly recruited 283 constables posted to the state to always uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and dedication in their duties.

The CP made statement today January 28th 2025 during the passing-out parade and deployment of the newly trained constable at the Police Headquarters in Jos.

CP Adesina emphasized the importance of adhering to training and conducting themselves professionally, urging them to maintain good manners and avoid any behaviour that could tarnish the image of the Police, their families, and Nigeria as a whole.

He cautions them against misusing their powers and abusing the rights of citizens, emphasizing the importance of upholding the law and respecting the dignity of all individuals.

Advising the newly deployed constables to maintain the highest standard of integrity and ethical conduct he urged them to steer clearly of corruption and extortion.

Adesina further advised them to be cautious about the company they keep, urging them to only associate with people of good character and avoid relationships that could compromise their honour.

The 283 newly trained constables were strategically deployed across the 17 Local Governments’ Areas in Plateau State, aiming to enhance security presence and provide effective policing services to communities state-wide
