PLASU Kicks Off NUSSA Games with Victory, Downs Kwara State University 1-0

Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has commenced its campaign at the ongoing 14th Nigerian University Staff Sports Association (NUSSA) Games in Bayero University Kano (BUK) with a triumphant start, securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Kwara State University in their opening football match.

The crucial lone goal that sealed the win for Team PLASU was expertly netted by Tsenyil Gwammen Benedict, igniting celebrations among the university's contingent. The match, held at the sprawling sports complex of Bayero University Kano, sets a positive tone for PLASU's participation in the week-long sporting fiesta.

The NUSSA Games, which officially flagged off on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Ahmadu Adamu Muazu Stadium, BUK New Campus, brings together over 1,100 academic and non-academic staff from 35 Nigerian universities. Participants are competing across 15 sporting events, fostering unity, wellness, and mutual respect among university staff nationwide.
