HOUSE OF REPS URGES GOVERNMENT TO DEPLOY MORE SECURITY PERSONNEL IN PLATEAU STATE

The House of Representatives has called for the immediate deployment of additional security personnel to Bassa and Bokkos Local Government Areas of Plateau State to address the escalating violence affecting several communities. To foster lasting solutions, the House is constituting an ad hoc committee to coordinate a National Security Summit. The summit aims to address broader security challenges in Plateau State and propose sustainable strategies for peace and stability.

This resolution follows a motion presented by Hon. (Amb.) Daniel Asama Ago, representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency. The House's decision underscores its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in affected areas. The National Security Summit is expected to bring together stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions to the security challenges plaguing Plateau State.
