Jos, Plateau State - The Plateau State Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Joseph Zima, has commended the contributions of his team in protecting lives and properties during the ongoing trade fair at the Jos Polo Ground.

The vigilante group's participation in the security operations at the trade fair was a resounding success, thanks to the organizers' faith in their abilities. Testimonies from traders have praised the group's excellent performance, highlighting their crucial role in curbing theft and other security challenges.

Zima also expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, for his tireless efforts in addressing security concerns in the state. He urged the governor to consider empowering the vigilante group, citing their proven track record of effectively tackling security challenges, as evident during the End SARS protests where over 2,000 members were deployed to quell the crisis.

"I believe that if my men are empowered, they will do even more," Zima added, emphasizing the group's potential to make a greater impact with increased support.
