Pankshin Kanke Traditional Council has pledged the support and donation of Land to College of Health Technology Pankshin to support Government approval for the construction of more facilities.
This development was disclosed by His Majesty the Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit when responding on a request for a land made by the Acting Provost of the College Dr Markus Avong during a courtesy visit in his Palace, Pankshin recently.
He expressed exceeding happiness and gratitude that the school has positive impact on his subjects and lauded the initiatives of the Provost and members of his management team that drew Government interest to come up with developmental projects and assured that his doors are always open for meaningful advises that could move the Institution to achieve more glories.
Speaking earlier, the Acting Provost of the College Dr Markus Avong said the visit was to inform His Majesty the Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit who is the owner of the land that before now the College has been grappling with infractural challenges and expressed gratitude that His Excellency, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang in his magnimanity has for the first time since the upgrading of the School to College of Health Technology approved the construction of modern facilities to qualify the institute for accreditation of more Programs.
He commended the Governor's prompt response and appealed to the Traditional Ruler for a piece of land to kick start the project that has brought hope not only to the College but the citizens of his Chiefdom and the entire zone.
Earlier in a remark, the Director of Works of the College Engr Panshak Gotom explained that major projects captured in the budget and approved for construction included Modern Library, Administrative Block, Chemistry, Biology and Physics Laboratory including Male and Female hostels among others and expressed appreciation to the Royal Father for the warm reception accorded them.
