RT. HON. DEWAN FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH A ON RAMADAN FAST

Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, and member representing Pankshin North, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, has warmly wished all Muslim Ummah in the state a successful Ramadan Fast, and prayed for the accomplishment of the essence of the period and its blessings in their lives, saying, "As you mark this auspicious period in which you draw closer to Allah, and purify your souls, May the Almighty God grant you your heart desires and see you smoothly and seamlessly throughout the fasting period."

Dewan praised Muslim members of the House of Assembly for supporting his tutelage and working assiduously for the success of the state government, and further admonished them and the entire Muslims in the state to use the fasting period and pray for the peace, unity and progress of Plateau and the entire country for God to help us overcome our myriad challenges; and to also be their brothers' keepers by extending benevolence to those in need and the poor so as to ameliorate their plight and fast smoothly.

He also called on the entire state irrespective of party and religious inclination to unite and extend the hands of friendship to the Muslim Ummah too  as they continue with their fasting, saying nothing should be done to discourage them or cause them break their fast. And that whatever can be done to help them succeed, should be done because they are our brothers and sisters.

He finally prayed for God's strong bond of love and unity amongst Plateau citizens to be their brothers' keepers and work towards the progress and prosperity of the state.
