Hon. Amb. Daniel Asama’s free medical
outreach has been receiving widespread applause and commendations from his
constituents. The outreach, which as was fully sponsored by Hon Asama in
conjunction with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), aimed to provide essential
medical services to over 25000 people across the Bassa/Jos North Federal
Constituency.
The three day medical outreach program
included the distribution of essentials drugs and medical supplies to 12
Primary Health care Clinic and Tertiary Health Institutions. The Program also
focused on addressing endemic dieses such as typhoid, Malaria and
gastroenteritis.
Hon Asama’s efforts have been praised
for their timeliness and impact, especially considering the economic hardship
faced by many Nigerians. His commitment to the well-being of his constituents
is evident in his words: ‘when I see anything passing I will grab and bring it to
my people’
The success of this outreach program is

The outreach includes addressing
glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness often undetected until it’s too late.
Over 2,000 medicated glasses and essential eye medications have been freely
distributed to beneficiaries. The program also provides specialized care for
various eye-related illnesses; ensuring residents get the treatment they need.
In his address, Hon. Asama emphasized
the need to prioritize healthcare, especially during these tough economic
times. He stressed that while food and financial support are important, good
health remains fundamental, as only a healthy person can work and support their
family.
He outlined three key motivations
behind this humanitarian intervention which includes: Rising Economic Hardship-
Many can no longer afford quality healthcare, and this initiative eases that
burden.
The Mandate of Representation- As a
people-centered leader, he is committed to delivering programs that truly
impact lives.
A Heart for Humanity- His personal
passion for service drives him to take action where it matters most.
Strengthening Healthcare Institutions: Beyond
the medical outreach, 12 Primary Healthcare Clinics (PHCs) received essential
drugs and supplies to ensure continued access to quality care.

Brian Lang the benefiting PHCs are Bassa LGA- Lapape (Jengre), Amo Maikatako,
Binchin, Kisaloi, Kwall, Miango.
Jos North LGA- PHC Ungwan Rukuba, Ali
Kazaure, Angwan Rogo, Targon Regiza, Yelwan Zangam, Tudun Wada.
Additionally, four tertiary health
institutions within the constituency received medical supplies to enhance their
capacity in handling critical cases: Plateau State Specialist Hospital, Bingham
University Teaching Hospital, Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), and Our
Lady of Apostle (Ola Hospital).
Hon Amb. Asama's commitment to his constituency
