Plateau State University Strengthens Partnership with Nigerian Police to Bolster Campus Security


Plateau State University, Bokkos, reaffirms its dedication to fostering a safe and secure environment for its esteemed staff and students through a renewed commitment to collaboration with the Nigerian Police.

During a pivotal meeting on June 25, 2024, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University, Prof. Shedrack Best, conveyed the university's unwavering support for the enhancement of campus security to the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina. Prof. Best, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Associate Professor Nengak Gomos, expressed profound gratitude for the pivotal role played by the police in upholding law and order within the state, particularly in restoring normalcy to the university following recent disruptions to academic activities.

"The presence of law enforcement officers within the campus perimeter serves as a source of relief for our students," remarked Prof. Best during the Police Commissioner's visit to the university.
