PLASU IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GERMAN TECHNICAL CORPORATION (GIZ) TO TRAIN STUDENTS ON SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE GRADUATES EMPLOYABLE AND RELEVANT TO THEMSELVES AND THE SOCIETY.

Plateau State University Bokkos has embraced the idea of training students on skills that will enable them employable in the labour market and to be self reliant.
The Acting Vice Chancellor,Plateau State University Bokkos, Professor Shedrack Best disclosed this when he received on  a courtesy call, the German International Corporation (GIZ) who were on a mission of creating Job Development Centre in the University. 
Professor Shedrack Best noted that the visit is apt considering the geometrical increase in the number of unemployed youths in the Nigeria society, which as a result, it has rendered them vulnerable to social versus.
The Acting Vice Chancellor was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Associate Professor Jurji Gomos,  explained that the university has interest in the training of students on skills following the directive by the National University's Commission which as a result, PLASU has Entrepreneural Centre that offers various skills to 400 level students before their graduation.
He assured of his commitment in creating an enabling environment for the training to thrive.
Speaking earlier, Technical Advisor Organizational Development, German International Technical,Violet Obiokoro explained that they want to establish a strong relationship with PLASU on how they can train students on soft skills as well as capacity building on job creation, so as not to allowed graduates stranded after their studies.
The Acting Vice Chancellor and other top management staff took the team to some of the facilities of the university to see how they record a remarkable achievement.

The management  later created a five man committee from the university who will work out modalities for the hitch free training.
