DEMOCRACY DAY: Wase Equity Project welcomes Ahmed Idris Wase from Hajj

The Wase Equity Project has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, and the people of Wase Federal Constituency on the occasion of Democracy Day, while also paying tribute to former political office holders from Wase Local Government Area for their contributions to democratic governance and development.

In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Muhammad Badu, the group described Democracy Day as a significant occasion that reflects the collective struggle, resilience, and commitment of Nigerians to democratic rule.
The Wase Equity Project noted that the sacrifices, vision, and dedication of former political office holders from Wase Local Government Area laid the foundation for many of the democratic and developmental achievements being enjoyed by the people today.
The group commended the contributions of past leaders, saying their service remains an enduring legacy and a source of inspiration for future generations.
The statement also offered prayers for serving political office holders at all levels of government, asking God to grant them wisdom, guidance, and protection as they continue to serve the people and strengthen democratic institutions.
The group further used the occasion to welcome the Deputy Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives and member representing Wase Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, CON, back to the country following his assignment as the Amirul Hajj of Plateau State.
According to the statement, Ahmed Wase demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment during the pilgrimage exercise, earning the admiration of many within and outside the state.
The Wase Equity Project prayed for Allah to accept the acts of worship, supplications, and sacrifices of all pilgrims from Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State, and Nigeria at large, while expressing hope that the blessings of the pilgrimage would bring peace, unity, and prosperity to communities across the country.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity, equity, and development in Wase Federal Constituency.
