IT IS TIME- HON CALEB SHIKIR

HON. SHIKIR NUHU CALEB

has declared his intention to aspire for the Plateau state
House of Assembly Kanke Constituency in the forthcoming general elections 2023

Hon Caleb Shikir made this known when he wrote a letter to his former colleagues notifying them of his intention to aspire to the position of House of Assembly Kanke Constituency.

He said it incumbent on him to first intimate them of his desire because of the peaceful and cordial working relationship they had together when they were councillors and as former legislators, they are better placed to make an impact ‘ they have a very significant role to play in the local politics if they work together he added.

The letter reads:

‘May I use this platform opportunity to once more wish all of us happy new year, with the hope and faith that all the good attributes of the year shall be our portions especially the forthcoming political Parties Primaries (electioneering activities) within the year.

I further request for esprit de corps as a former Elected Councilor. Just like we have in the army and the Police (that ever accord respect and support of their colleagues at any time irrespective of their differences), we also have in politics. I believe and seek your support in respective of your political party's’ affiliations of my aspiration to vie for the Kanke Constituency of Plateau State House of Assembly come 2023.

Kindly note that your commitments either individually or in the spirit, I mentioned above, can go a long way to create the needed impact to have one of us for the first time in the PLSHA since 1999. This necessitated me to pray and got a slogan of IT’S TIME

It will interest you to know that one of my major ambitions is to Restore Hope for Former Honourables (Elected Councillors) in Kanke LGA. We can do it if we collectively join hands to do the needful my dear Honourable Colleagues.

 I said this with humility and with responsibility and with the burden of a generation to whom the future of Kanke we belong and heirs.

Once more, I seek your support in diverse ways for the victory.
