Pauline Tallen commission multi-million-naira project in Langtang South

 Amidst the outpouring of accolades and rounds of applause, the President of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria who was represented by the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs, Her Excellency Dame Pauline Tallen, OFR KSG. commission a multimillion naira erosion control project at Sabon Gida Village in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday, 2nd August 2021.

Delivering President Muhammadu Buhari message Pauline Tallen re-emphasized that no part of the country will suffer neglect because of geographical location or political affiliations.

She said the government is determined to continue with the implementation of all genuine policies, agreements and contracts which are directed at laying a solid foundation in the quest for a viral and prosperous nation.

Tallen enjoined the community to own the project by maintaining and sustaining it, saying the project which was awarded in 2019 to address the devastating effects of erosion in the area will equally provide easier mobility in the locality which will enhance the socio-economic growth of the people.

After the commissioning, the Women Affairs Minister led other dignitaries on the tour of the various sites of the project, as a large crowd of jubilating crowds abandoned their farming and other activities to witness as well as cheer the Honorable Minister on the epoch-making events.

In his remarks, the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong expressed his deepest appreciation to the President for this magnificent gesture noting that the state will forever be indebted to him for this and other projects executed in the state.

The former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, said the project is the first of its kind in the Local Government, explaining that he initiated the project when he was the Minister of Youths and sports.

Permanent Secretary in Ecological Fund Office, Dr Hadiza Lawal and the Royal Father of the Area, His Highness Bamaiyi Gosele among others who spoke at the event expressed their appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for executing the colossal project.

The commissioning was indeed a remarkable and a moment that will remains indelible in the heart of the people of Lantang South.
