and National Assembly elections, in an interview with pressmen the Former Deputy Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly and Member, National House Representative, representing Shendam, Qua-Pan, and Mikang Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Johnbull Shekarau has described the failure of Governor Lalong to be elected as a senator as a rejection by his people owing to his poor and incompetent leadership, noting that it is a referendum against the failure of the APC government, the people are suffering and they need people that will come and alleviate their suffering, he added.

Rt. Hon. Johnbul noted that he believed the announced presidential elections are not the true reflections of what transpired at the polls, he urged INEC, and Tinubu to Harken to the call by Nigerians and renounce the announced results and go back to the polls.

He, however, commended the doggedness and resilience of the Plateau PDP for checkmating the rigging machine of APC in the state, this inform the success of the party in the state.

He said 11 March will provide another opportunity for INEC with a defining moment to make, amend and provide Nigerians with free and credible elections.

He lamented the use of religion in choosing leaders, noting that some rejected Atiku and voted for Tinubu to prove that a Muslim–Muslim ticket is possible and others opted for Peter Obi as a Christian, it is only Atiku that got his votes from true Nigerians who did not vote based on religious or ethnic sentiments, but competence and credibility.

He called on CAN and other religious bodies to form a political platform or wing that will advise them appropriately on how to tackle political matters.
