PROF. DAKAS ATTENDS BIT POL FESTIVAL, DESCRIBES CULTURE AS POINT OF UNITY, ANNOUNCES #1M SUPPORT.

Front line gubernatorial hopeful and Senior Advocate of Nigeria,SAN,Professor Dakas CJ Dakas has described culture as a point of unity amongst the people despite its diversity.

He said it is an avenue for people to continue to integrate and become a part of the larger society and develop our communities.

Dakas was speaking at this year's Bit Pol cultural festival which held in Nyak,Ajikamai,Shendam LGA,Plateau State.

Describing culture and its advantages,he said it is a concept of unity and diversity without fragmentation but based on tolerance of physical,cultural,linguistic,social,religious,political,ideological and or psychological differences towards understanding that our difference should enrich us.

Dakas charged the people to guard jealousy their culture which was handed over to them for their continuous coexistence as a people.

He solicited for prayers for the state and country as the new year comes and political as well as other activities kick start in ernest.

He called on them to also continue to support in prayers their son,Governor Simon Lalong to keep serving the people of plateau state in good health and wisdom.

Professor Dakas then made a donation of One Million Naira in support of efforts by the community to develop certain critical projects.

The Bit Pol cultural festival at the Governor's home town,Nyak Ajikamai holds every first of January .
