The leading governorship aspirant in Plateau State, Nde David Victor Dimka fsi has said that for meaningful development to take place in any society, there must be peace and unity.
Speaking during the official coronation of Ngolong Ngas of Jos North today at the Solomon Lar Amusement Park, the former Comptroller of Customs described the ngas people of Plateau State as peace loving and hard working ethnic group.
"To secure Plateau is a task that must be done.
And I urge our traditional leaders to stand firm and continue to demonstrate leadership and promote peace in the nation," he said.
He said the ngas people are born leaders, that is why they always excel in their different field of endeavors.
" Leadership is in the DNA of Ngas people and so we must not relent, but ensure that we give our maximum support to the good people of Ngas nation, Plateau State and Nigeria at large," he said.
Nde David Victor Dimka also reminded the gathering that elections are near, and urged the ngas nation to give their maximum support to ensure that a credible candidate from Ngas land emerges victorious to govern Plateau State come 2023.
"Politics is not a do or die affair, but we must ensure active participation to elect credible leaders at all levels," he said.
He therefore urge the new ngolong ngas to ensure that ngas people living in Jos North coexists peacefully with other ethnic nationalities.
